I actually remembered to bring my camera to a Capitals game. In my world, this is no less then a Christmas Miracle.

1) Seemed the Sabres had a very healthy contingent of fans there! Are cap fans already throwing in the towel on the season and staying home?
2) Couldn't have been more than 12 thousand there, and of that probably 3 thousand Buffaslug supporters. That means less than 10K cap fans. It wasn't a great night weather wise, but if a couple of thousand folks can drive 9 hours from upstate NY why can't the caps get 15K? Has the 3+ years of losing cost them that many fans?
3) We're not Cap fans per se, but are disappointed to see the franchise in this state. Fans used to fill the building there and in Landover in years past, now it seems there are as many out of town fans than home supporters
A very, very healthy contingent of fans. I expected it drop off a bit, after their slow start this year, and playoff exit last season. Alas, I was wrong.
However, compared to last year, I was pleasantly surprised by how many Caps fans there were. Last year, we couldnt get a cheer started over the Sabres fans. Not the case this year.
I thought the Caps fans managed to shout out the slug fans at the beginning, but as the game wore on...
BTW, you can juuust see me in your last pic. I should ask for a modeling fee :~)
